Gratia Church Enjoys Fellowship with Korean Language Learners

Gratia Church enjoyed a warm and graceful time of fellowship with Korean language learners. As part of its service to the local community, Gratia Church has been offering Korean classes, which the learners have been attending regularly for about three months.

In welcoming the season of Advent, the group gathered at Pastor Tzeng’s home to share a potluck featuring warm Korean dishes. Although the participants come from diverse backgrounds, they are united by a shared interest in Korean language and culture. The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity to share stories, build friendships, and connect on a deeper level.

There’s Still a Mission

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

The Birth of Blessings

She said to him, “Pardon me, my lord. As surely as you live, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the Lord. I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.

Gratia Members Celebrate Thanksgiving with Service and Fellowship

The Gratia family gathered on November 21 to give thanks to God and to one another through a Thanksgiving service followed by a dinner fellowship.

Pastor Julia delivered a message based on Philippians 1:3–6, reflecting on Paul’s words, “I thank my God every time I remember you.” She reminded the congregation that all gratitude begins with God—the One who brought us together as a family in Christ. We give thanks not only for the visible acts of service such as teaching, praising, preparing, and helping, but even more for the sincere hearts behind them, the spiritual maturity growing among us, and the love that reflects Christ. Our gratitude is not simply for what God and people do, but for the love with which they serve. Above all, we give thanks not only for what God provides, but for God Himself—His heart, His character, and His unchanging love.

Following the service, members shared a Thanksgiving dinner, expressing appreciation for one another’s love and service. We pray that this grace continues to overflow in the hearts of all members as they walk together with the Lord.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

“Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

“Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Gratia Continues on Campus Evangelism and Bible Study with Newcomer

Gratia Church carried out a graceful campus evangelism, followed by a meaningful Bible study with a newcomer. During the evangelism, ministers and students engaged with many on campus, sharing God’s love and inviting them to Bible studies and fellowship. Several students showed interest, and the ministers are praying that they will join in the coming week.

Afterward, a Bible study was held with newcomer who studied Romans 1. She expressed deep passion for learning God’s Word and shared her desire to serve God in her own ways. The time was filled with grace, and the ministers were encouraged by her sincere heart and eagerness to grow spiritually. We pray that God continues to open doors on campus and leads many thirsty souls to His truth.

Gratia Worship and Prayer Night Draws Students Around SF

Gratia Church hosted an inspiring Worship and Prayer Night that brought together a diverse group of attendees, including students from the University of San Francisco (USF) and San Francisco State University (SFSU), alongside regular church members. The event, held on a recent Friday evening, created a powerful atmosphere of praise, prayer, and fellowship.

The night was led by Brother Larry, who guided the congregation through heartfelt worship and a message focused on spiritual renewal and the power of prayer. Sister Ruth delivered a warm message of faith and hope from the book of Psalms. Students expressed their gratitude for a space where they could connect with others in faith during the busy summer season.

As songs of praise echoed and prayers were lifted up, the sense of unity and spiritual hunger was evident. Many attendees shared how deeply moved they were by the time of worship and how refreshing it was to come together with believers across campuses and communities.

The evening concluded with light fellowship, as students and members mingled, exchanged stories, and encouraged one another in their walks of faith. Gratia continues to serve as a spiritual home for students and families throughout the city, and events like these are a testimony to its growing impact on the next generation.

Gratia Fall Season Begins with Youth Bible Study

On August 25, Gratia Church opened the fall season with a Bible study, welcoming a newcomer who joined for the first time. The young leaders are actively moving forward in campus evangelism together with the regular students and are now preparing new outreach schedules. We pray that Gratia Church will continue to reach many new souls who can find true rest in God’s Word and His grace, and that all Bible study students may grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
